How to change child support. (Video)
What is child support?
“In family law and public policy, child support (or child maintenance) is an ongoing, periodic payment made by a parent for the financial benefit of a child (or parent, caregiver, guardian, or state) following the end of a marriage or other relationship.”
Why is it so important?
Child support is important because children are (generally) expensive. If you are the parent paying child support, the can become an extra expense per month, paid to the other parent. If you are the parent receiving child support, and the other parent does not pay, that can place all of the financial burden on you.
